Barr Lake is located 18 miles NE of Denver.

Description

   Barr Lake is nothing special as far as Colorado lakes go but it's still a nice place to paddle. There are no houses at the edge of the lake. There are also no "mountain views". There is hardly ever any boat traffic on the lake and often times you will be the only boat on the lake. One side of the lake is bordered by Barr Lake state park.
